Since I love Christmas cards and unfortunately cannot send a paper copy to each and every one of you, I decided to make you a special Christmas greeting!
I hope your Christmas week is wonderful and filled with sweet times with family and friends.
This month for me has brought a mix of emotions: rejoicing in the joy that we have at Christmas time but also grieving the loss of our baby, Alexander, who we miscarried last December.
If you also have experienced a roller coaster of emotions this season, I want to share with you a few verses about Hope that I have been reading over and over again the past month. I have clung to these verses when I don’t feel hopeful. As I have meditated on the Truth of God’s Word about Hope I have experienced Hope rising anew in my heart.
Psalm 119:81 “My soul longs for your salvation; I hope in your Word.”
Psalm 39:7 ” And now O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in You.”
Romans 5: 3-5 ” More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
I love each and everyone of you and pray for you continually – My prayer for you this Christmas is this:
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13
Things will be quiet on the blog until this Thursday as I spend Christmas with my family. What are your Christmas plans? I would love to hear about them!
