Its Valentine’s Day tomorrow. Whether you celebrate it with as much gusto as a bin of oversized teddy bears at Wal-Mart, hide in your room with a box of chocolates and You’ve Got Mail, or ask people the date every chance you get to prove that you really aren’t paying attention to the fact that its February 14th and you don’t have a date, these thoughts are for you….
Happy Monday Friends!

Before we talk about anything else I just have to say: YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! The Seahawks won the Super Bowl! Wooooohoooo!
For those that don’t know I am a Texas transplant from the great state of Washington. Although I am not a huge sports fan I was so excited to watch the Seahawks win their first Super Bowl.
I think Rene wasn’t sure what happened to his typically sports apathetic wife because all last week I kept saying, “I am soooo excited for the Super Bowl!”READ MORE
This Thanksgiving break my husband and I traveled to Washington state to visit my family. Washington’s nickname is the Evergreen State and you can see why!
If you’re like me one of the best parts of Christmas is giving and receiving Christmas cards. Every day during December I look forward to checking the mailbox because it is the only time of year that I know instead of finding a stack of bills I will be greeted with the smiling faces of family and friends I love!

I want to take a few moments to talk about a few practical ways you can structure or not structure your time with Jesus so it is AWESOME!
Think about these 2 questions:
I have been praying over this series for weeks, and asking the Lord that every person who reads it would become hungry for more of Jesus! Whether you have never said one word to Him or have spent your whole life studying Him and talking to Him, the amazing thing is that there is ALWAYS MORE!
I want to encourage and challenge you, to ask Him to make you hungry for more of Him. Then commit to spending a certain time amount with Him EVERYDAY and PLAN A TIME to do so! If you are just beginning (how exciting =) then start with a realistic goal, I would suggest between 15-20 minutes of time everyday. Did you set a goal? Tell me about it in the comments below!
Today we are going to talk about overcoming some obstacles you may encounter on your journey and share with you some of my favorite resources for spending time with Jesus!
